T’was Monday when I started thinking,

Consumed by childish fear,

And realized the truth,

T’was Saturday I felt like,
Despair was ripping me apart,
I could no longer fix the shattered pieces,
Of my aching heart,

T’was Sunday that I did it,
I finally found relief,
Now you’ll have to live with,
The same unforgiving grief,

I remember the startled faces,
As I stepped up to the edge,
But I recognized no-one,
As I crept along the ledge,

I kept thinking about you,
I wondered if you’d care,
I closed my eyes and saw your face,
As the wind blew through my hair,

And then I heard your voice,
As it floated up to me,
I was going to make you pay,
That was my guarantee,

I looked out amongst the people,
You were yelling for me to stop,
I smiled for the first time in weeks,
And then let myself drop,

There were fifteen floors on that building,
I counted them as I fell,
I felt the freedom I wanted,
As I silently called my farewell,
~
I don’t know what happened to my body,
But my spirit is now content,
Though I remember every detail about you,
From your smile to your intoxicating scent,
~
I hope you’re hounded,
By what you’ve done,
You sent me to hell,
But I finally won.
